Barack Obama, President-Elect

 

I voted for hope, intelligence
and change today. I also prayed.
It seemed too easy.

I voted for a man today,
a two-fer in a race on race that
few would name.

And somewhere between polls closing and Obama's victory speech the weight of
Jim Crow,Selma, and Memphis shifted.

Did you feel it? Rosa felt it too. And she's
still riding, this time to Inauguration Day
in Washington,
