T he short story behind "News from an Acorn" is simply this; it exists as a vehicle for me to share the wonder, power and awesome burden of living life in the shelter of God's grace. News from an Acorn is about words, photography, my joy of knowing, hearing and working with young people, and not-so-young people in many settings everywhere. Hallelujah! The longer storyof how the name came to be, and how that of Spirit was at work within me, is also worth the read if you have a few minutes.
Why you should want to read and subscribe to my blog:
- Some people say that my words and photography make them feel better.
- One subscriber said this: "Kevin, I have your blog linked from my desktop at work. When I need to get away, I come visit you."
- I won't bull---- you ever. I promise.
- I'm not sure what color you paint your God, nor do I need to know. What I do know is this: The Grace and Power and "grit" of what is holy (from church or otherwise) is out there, in here, in my words and images, and hopefully, among us as you visit. Either way, God is in the room. Some come, explore, share as you're led (in comments) and let me know what you think.
